β¨ FAMILY & HOME UPDATE
January brought a return to routine as we settled back into work and business as usual after the Christmas season. The year began with home evaluations, staging consultations, listing preparation, and successfully guiding clients through selling their homes. It was a clear reminder that while the calendar turns quietly in January, real estate work does not slow in the same way.
Amid the busyness, Emese and Henk were grateful for the opportunity to get away for a weekend with friends. Although the temperatures dipped below minus twenty, we were toasty warm inside our friendsβ cottage, enjoying good food, fun games, and plenty of laughter. It was a refreshing pause and a meaningful reminder of the value of shared time and friendship.
In the midst of the frigid temperatures, plentiful snowfall and busyness, Jacob and Henk have been routinely getting away to hit the slopes together every Friday along with other students at their school. This has been a great time together as Jacob continues to learn how to snowboard. Thankfully, the falls are less frequent, which I’m sure he is incredibly thankful for!
January also brought report cards for the kids, and both Jacob and Chiara did exceptionally well. Their results were a tangible reminder that dedication, consistency, and hard work truly do pay off, lessons that translate far beyond the classroom.
Like many people here at home and around the world facing uncertainty, hardship, and unrest, January has also been a month that has drawn us to lean on God more intentionally. We firmly believe that nothing happens outside of His sovereign providence. In a season that can feel heavy for many, we have been continually reminded to trust in His good and faithful plan for our lives.
